Dusk would get a new contract. It was for an anonymous employer with a lot on the table. They wanted a mutant dead, a specific one that had white hair, carried two swords, and could control the wind. A short bio and physical description was provided as well, as well as some statistics about the mutant powers involving wind manipulation. ((the basics of wind manipulation btw))

The target would be at the leaving his school to go visit someone on the far side of town that night. The most direct route would be through the park, which is usually empty at that time.

((So what'll it be Dusk XP))

A Contract Against A Friend, Loyalty To Price Empty Re: A Contract Against A Friend, Loyalty To Price

Sinking back into the park bench, Dusk examined the empty park with a simple and quiet composure. He reclined lazily as he took drew a small breath of the night air through his white mask. A flicker of metallic silver flashed as Dusk fiddled with his ballistic knife. He expertly tossed and twirled it in a fast motion as if he were a magician expertly shuffling his cards in a mesmerizing fashion with complex combinations. Shutting his eyes, he tried to clear his mind of any and all emotions, it was always good to do so before a kill. He found that emotions lead him to be stronger but, clouded his mind and weakened the accuracy of his own precision. Underneath shadow, his ultra light weight bulletproof black trench coat, he had with him a Beretta M19 pistol and a Calico M950 submachine gun. Both he could use to kill a 'normal' target with relative ease, he had his doubts about this one though. He knew by the profile given to him that the target was indeed a former friend. He had known "Typhoon" for a long time since his schooling days before he entered the military, before he sacrificed everything to save his comrades in war, before he got blacklisted because of his "unnatural abilities" and before he dawned the mask as a mercenary. Yet, Dusk told himself that was all before, it was behind him now. Adam was a stranger, they both now walked two different paths now not side by side like the olden days. It had been a long time and despite his decision to sever his emotional ties with his former friend, he felt a twinge of guilt lost somewhere in the dark recesses in his mind.

Hearing footsteps, Dusk reopened his eyes as he saw through his metal plated mask. He finally stopped playing with his kinfe and clutched the hilt of the blade loosely before tossing it in the air before standing up. Catching his weapon in a reverse grip so the blade's tip pointed skyward and was parallel with his forearm all in one fluid motion, he held the blade in a relaxed grip.

It was time.

Dusk lowered his head as he exhaled as shadows began to emit from his body as he called upon his darkness to cloud that side of him. He drew a knife as he held it a reverse grip.He could sense his target approaching, he knew it was him. Aside from his affinity over shadows, he did have what he called a sixth sense. Although utilizing a long ranged rifle would have been the most efficient method, he felt he at least owed his dear friend a chance to fight for his life.

Adam was walking through the park, his normal routine, it was very peaceful exercise before heading off to sleep. As he walked however he felt something was off. He would keep his pace, but close his eyes. The wind was not flowing correctly here, someone was in this park, someone he couldn't see.

Continuing to walk he would be ready to grab his sword if need be. He didn't really keep them hidden though, so he knew unfortunately that his attacker would see his two blades.

Dusk had a premonition that Typhoon somehow sensed his presence, he seemed more on guard. Knowing his foe was clearly armed, he decided to take a slightly different approach in getting he jump on his foe. As Adam walked forward, Dusk walked directly in front of him and turned to face him. When his target came within 5 feet of him, Dusk reveled himself out of nowhere. Tendrils of black fog began to emit around him, although they could do no physical harm but rather to impose fear. Dusk was just outside of Typhoon's range if he chose to draw his weapons and swing. The white masked figure clad in black starred at Adam wordlessly before tilting his head to the side in an almost unnatural way. Dusk seemed almost inhuman in appearance as if some demonic creature out a slasher film.

"TyPhoOn..." Dusk said, his voice was now heavily distorted by the speak function of his mask. His voice was neither deeper nor higher in pitch but it had an odd echo which made him seem like there was more than one voice talking at different times talking down a tube.

"iT'S tIMe to dIe."

Hoping Adam would hesitate to act, the black clad would plant his right foot perpendicular to his left right between the distance between the two of them. Swinging his other foot around so he would turn around a swift movement, his knife would follow with him with the moment behind his counterclockwise rotation. Dusk's knife would whip through the air as it tried to find it's mark on Adam's throat.

Adam would walk right into Dusk's trap. Everything going wrong, unsure of what to do. Adam would see the knife at the last second, his body would allow the knife to pass through his throat without causing any physical damage. Adam would then flip back and draw his sword sweeping at his oppressors feet.

"I don't know who you are or why you want me dead. But I warn you, many people have tried, including many other mutants."

As expected, Dusk saw his knife pass through his intended target as the only thing he cut was the air. Pressing the button on his knife, it shot out as the blade shot out from it's handle burying itself into the trunk of a tree. As the blade detached itself from the handle, a cable between the rope and the handle. Seeing Adam draw his weapon, Dusk jerked on the handle as the rope pulled him away from the reach of Adam's blade.

"WEll... iT's goOd thing I'm nOt a mutAnt..." Dusk said yanking the handle dislodging the blade from the trunk of the tree as the blade swiftly recoiled back into the handle much like how a tape measure.

Acquiring distance from Typhoon, Dusk reached underneath his dark coat and revealed a firearm in which he wasted no time in firing in Adam's general direction. The Calico M960 Sub-machine gun rattled in his hand as he held the weapon one handed as he began emptying the clip and walking counter clockwise around Adam in a slow and methodical pace. Dusk was eager to test Typhoon's defenses, his gaze fixated at his target.

The bullets would fly at typhoon as he shielded himself with his hand out. The bullets would slow and stop a few centimetres from him.

Typhoon would smile, "Well if your not a mutant, maybe I won't have to hold back!" Adam would fire all of the bullets back using condensed air, but he would deliberately aim for the ground at the assassins feet, and send one at the gun in his hand.
