Date night #1 with Techk and Regina

In the morning about a week after meeting and going on an impromptu date with Regina, Techk was sitting at his desk in his hero form, as he was most comfortable as that in private, in his room staring at his phone. "Too early? Nah, I said I would probably call in about a week. I hope she's not too busy I think I picked out the perfect recipe for what she mentioned liking." He thought to himself looking at it.

He picked up the phone for a moment, then put it down again. "Nope. Not gunna happen. I'm gunna seem like I waited out a timer like some desperate loser. I'm not going to pick up the phone." As he said the last part he picked up the phone. "I'm not going to dial her number." He said as he dialed her number in. "I'm not going to... God damn it." He said as he put the phone up to his head moments before Regina picked up.

"Hello, Regina? It's Daniel. Are you free today?"

"Couldn't wait to see me? I'm actually suprised you waited as long as you did." Regina would laugh on the other end of the line, "Sure I can come up today, I'm sure Avalon and them wont even notice I'm gone. He's been way too entranced in his project lately. Anyways we can catch up when I get there."

There would be a pause, "I actually have no idea how I'm going to get up there. I guess I could walk, might be a while though. Or..."

There was a large sound of clanging, "I got an idea! See you in no time!" with that the line would go dead.

Techk held the phone away from him and looked at it for a moment, before realization of possibilities hit him. "Ohhhhh this could be bad if I think what's going to happen, happens."

Standing up he moves quickly to the air duct in his room and into it. Once situated inside his form changes and solidifies a number of wheels with high speed motors and takes off down the air ducts. The entire way to the front entrance of the building sounds of the air ducts being moved through can be heard quite loudly as Techk reaches the vent at the front of the building and bursts through it, long having replaced it's normal screwed down installation with door hinges.

He hits the ground outside the school and goes into a roll before coming to a stop in the center of the school's main entrance walkway and shifting into the form of a water fountain complete with a statue of Techk in his hero form on top of a pile of broken robots looking triumphant. Most of the students would see this as typical behaviour from him and ignore him. Techk meanwhile was surveying all of his surroundings for any sign of aircraft or large robotic transportation from this static form.

((Remember, Regina hasn't seen Techk in his hero form yet ))

Techk would see something flying through the air at a rapid pace towards him.



She would land just outside the main entrance to the school and while a couple students noticed, they had become immune to these surprises. She would take off her helmet and hook it to the bike and then walk into the front entrance of the school. "Wow...fancy place." she would smile as she walked, she was getting a lot more looks now that some of the male students had noticed her.

Techk breathed an audible sigh of relief. "Okay, it wasn't something too over the top, I was a bit concerned with that loud clang." He thought to himself as his form shifted to look like his usual human form.

His feet flowed across the ground like the bottom of his body in his hero form does to keep quiet, sneaking up behind Regina he leaned forward and whispered in her ear. "Well there, little lady, I haven't seen a pretty young flower like y'all 'round these parts before." He said sounding like some Texas cowboy from any number of old western movies.

He then cracked up giggling wondering if he startled her. "Sorry about that, I'm a little surprised you didn't see me outside. I was quite garishly obvious as that fountain after all. I mean I didn't even have time to get some water to use!"

Regina would laugh at the comment, and smile as he explained his disguise, "Well I was initially going to ride of of those long range drop pods the doc had for his bots, but then I saw his private hoverbike...I had to take it for a spin. He doesn't know though."

She would smile, "Oh and it seems unlikely I could make a scene here even if I tried. Your...group...seems to be immune to surprises. Especially if their own can shape into a fountain?"

She would look kind of confused, "I'm sorry I'm having trouble following my own train of thought on this one..."

She would turn to Techk, "However I did bring something cool along, but you'll have to wait and see. I'm keeping it as insurance in case your cooking isn't to par." she would stick her tongue out at him.

Techk chuckled "I suppose a drop pod would have caused a reaction really, plus the students are used to my antics by now. If they didn't expect me to cause a scene I wouldn't be doing my job right, haha!"

He feigned being insulted at her comment about his cooking skills. "You just wait I have a meal that will knock your proverbial socks off. However there is one thing I must ask before we start, the dessert I'm kind of torn on, so you decide. Vanilla or chocolate? Your decision will decide which dessert you get. Everything else has already been decided. In fact the main is exactly to your specifications." He winked at her with his final statement before giving her a kiss and leading her to the front desk.

"Hey Julie, this is my guest for the day, and maybe the night if things run long and we get talking a lot." He said to the receptionist as he snatched a guest pass from behind the desk. "I'll put this back when she leaves, thanks Julie, bye!" He shouted as he ran off from the desk and back to Regina.

"So, it's still morning and I have dinner planned out. Want to see my quarters and classroom?"

Regina would smile and look around, "How about the full tour. I'm sure this place is bigger than it looks."

Regina's face would suddenly light up, "And I bet there is even some cool new tech I've never seen before here!"

She would take a deep breath, "Oh yes. I'm more of a chocolate fan myself, I'll need to get more exercise in after though if this meals as good as you say."

Techk chuckled and nodded. "Well if you want the full tour I say we hit the cafeteria for lunch, visit the gym and the ball courts, check out the library, the science wing, my robotics classroom. Maybe if I can get you clearance I can show you the Danger room from the viewing deck. I like to call it the 'Play room' and the 'Never ending buffet for one' if I'm feeling cheeky. Almost all of the stuff in there is robotic in nature. But the real technological gems are hidden in my lab. It's... not easy for someone who isn't me to get to though."

Techk clapped his hands with a grin. "Right! Devil's Food Cake it is, trust me you're going to need to race your own jet bike on foot back home to even dent this sucker's effect on you!" He took her hand and led her off to the garage area. "But before all that... Maybe you'd like to see some unsolicited modifications I've done to my favourite student's car. Adam is such a bright lad but really doesn't quite have an eye for upgrading juuuust yet."

Regina would look interested in this room of machines that Techk mentioned and his lab, "I would personally take that challenge. I'm not too bad at breaking into things, especially labs. The more electronic defences the better!" she would smile a bit maniacally, "Sorry it's been a long time since the Doc has let me use my Tech Magic. I mean...he doesn't really like me using it in his base for obvious reasons. Maybe we could try out this danger room? It would be a good chance to get some exercise in before we eat."

Regina would say as Techk took her hand, "Modifying a car. Such a classic thing to do, but a lot of people don't have the appreciation for the classics I do."

Techk gave her a cheeky smirk. "You can sure try to break in, except I don't think your body can contort and squish like mine can. I literally designed it as a private space for me and the only time it can open wide enough for something other than me to go in or out is when I build the loading bay. I always dismantle it and fill in the corridor with solid metal afterward though."

He rubbed his chin as they walked to the garage. "I could probably be convinced to dig out a small doorway for you later though if you're really interested. Careful though this contractor charges with make outs, hahaha!" He gave her a smile as he led her into the garage. Looking around he wandered over to an empty space and kicked out and a loud metal clang was heard.

"Hehe, Logan still hasn't figured it out." He muttered to himself as he walked over to a metallic green camero with black racing stripes. "Here we are, Adam's car. I did this stuff for him shortly after he got it originally but I don't think he's figured it out yet. I installed some weapons systems and active camouflage he can activate using the radio preset buttons. Pressing one of them calls my personal phone as well so I'm quite sure he hasn't seen any of the modifications in action just yet, and I used nanotech to install them so they're damn near unnoticeable even if he lifted the hood." Techk patted the hood of the car. "If I thought I could get away with doing it without pissing him off I would rebuild it from scratch to be able to turn into an exo-suit, but he does like to take this thing on dates more than fights."

Techk gave her a wicked grin. "The play room is an excellent idea for a work out, but I doubt the boss would let me use it willy nilly after the last few times I was in there. Place is like a buffet for me and I abuse what I am to the fullest extent within those walls when flying solo. Found out that I can essentially "Infect" machines with my nanites and control them either by hacking their software or over-riding their hardware to work to my command instead of their own." He leaned close to her ear and whispered. "So I guess we'll just have to be naughty and use the room without permission." He chuckled and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Regina would frown at the lab doorway, "Well was worth a shot, but no I don't think I could get in there...unless I wanted to make a mess." she would smirk, "But hey a key is always the easiest way to open the lock."

Regina would immediately open the hood of the car to look inside, "Wow this is a nice ride. Not my kind of car currently, but I totally would have remade the whole thing."

Regina would look at Techk with a sly smile, "Well He probably doesn't ask his date to mount him and take her for ride on their first date." she would stick out her tongue.

Regina would light up at the idea to sneak into the danger room, "Sneaking in might be just as much fun as trying it out. You said you had telepaths though? This is some sort of mutation and genetics school then right? I mean we have some around the office, but none of them have abilities like that. Although I'm sure the doc could duplicate it with some tech."

Techk chuckled at her joke. "Well, it is much better than me turning into a car and having you be inside me! Would likely be a real first for you to hear that one, ha ha ha!" He said laughing uproariously.

"Yeah, we generally teach regular classes, but we also make sure to help the people here control their abilities and such. I was once one of them, and still have the powers I originally did, even in this form. Mutant genes are a pain in the ass to get rid of it seems, even if your body is destroyed it can still survive sometimes. "

He placed his hand on the engine for a moment before frowning. "Damned kid knows how to keep his spider bot in perfect working condition, but neglect his mode of transportation. He's let the oil go too long without changing it and it's started to damage the engine. I'll have to leave him a note on his computer."

He looked to Regina before holding up his other hand and wiggling his fingers. "Machine Empathy, I could always sort of scan any thing mechanical I touch and find out what's wrong with it almost instantly."

It finally clicking as to what she said earlier, Techk grinned and gave her a hug. "What's this about using a key in my lock?" He said with a smile and a raised eyebrow.

Regina would smile, "Too simple. If I wanted to get you the easy way I'd just use my magic, this whole courting thing is much more entertaining and worth the effort."

Regina would snap her fingers as the cars lights would turn on, then snap them again to turn them off. "The audio cue was unnecessary, but I thought it added spark. Plus you never know, maybe you'd like my magics?"

Techk smiled widely at her abilities and with a chuckle and a smirk said "Yeah, I do quite like what you can do, but you certainly don't need to use that to turn me on, hehe."

He gave her a kiss and picked her up in his arms. "Before you get any ideas, I'm not about to suggest anything happens in the back of the car. I sort of... decided to have a little fun. When the car reads rhythmic impacts for more than 10 straight seconds it violently ejects whatever is in any of the seats from the car. I was actually thinking we should head to my classroom, I have to be there for a bit. The students have to hand in their assignments and if I'm not there, I'll catch hell for them auto-failing the assignment wholesale on school records again."

He stood there holding her for a moment before chuckling. "I can't help but wonder how people would react to seeing Techk of all people carrying a beautiful woman in his arms into class as if it wasn't a big deal looking all couple-y with said woman."

Regina would smile, "There isn't really a need to carry me there, but I like the fact that your trying to be chivalrous, and if any students doubted us being couple-y, I could fix that." Regina would quickly peck Techk on the cheek.

Techk blushed a bit at the cheek kiss, and carried her to the entrance to the garage and into the halls. "So, how exactly would you fix that? You've piqued my curiosity." He said with a cheeky grin as he carried her.

"I would rather you keep yourself focused on your school work for now." she would stick out her tongue at him.

Techk stuck his tongue out at her as well, however this time his tongue was long and slender almost touching the tip of her nose. Giggling he said "Spoilsport, literally all I have to do is stand in the classroom while the students wheel in their projects to submit to me for marking. I could be making out with you the entire time and still be doing my job, I just need to see who submitted what for marking later, and have to be in the class so that the students can turn them in at all."

Techk carried Regina through the halls through the crowds of students moving from class to class, many of them staring at the teacher they knew to be the incorrigible prankster carrying a beautiful woman in his arms laughing with her and looking at her with adoration. As the arrived at the class, instead of putting her down he just made an extra set of arms to unlock and open the door. Walking inside with her he stopped by his desk giving her a grin before asking "So, do you want me to put you down now, or have you gotten comfortable?" with a light chuckle following.

Regina would smile, "It was quite the ride, but I'm not used to being pampered. You can set me down now."

She would smile, "Besides, knowing you your students projects should be interesting to see. Which class is submitting them?"

Techk set her down gently making sure she had her footing before he let go. "Well I do hope you get used to being pampered, I don't foresee our relationship ending anytime soon." He tilted his head to the side in thought. "Hmm, I do believe that it's the class that has the student whose car I rather sneakily upgraded. You might like him, he's got an adorable little pet robot spider thing that follows him around like a puppy."

A few minutes later as he stood leaning against this desk talking to Regina about the school and the interesting facilities that were there, he noticed Typhoon wheeling in his project. Without looking over he gave Typhoon a wave. "Hey Adam, is that your project? It looks to be quite the interesting piece of work." Realizing he hadn't turned his head like a normal person would, he quickly turned his head toward typhoon and gave him a smirk. "Sorry, forgot to look like I was looking, you know I forget sometimes."

Adam would walk in and see Techk and Regina in the classroom. He was wheeling in his project because of its size. It was a type of electric generator using a perpetual motion in a magnetized vacuum. His robot would be riding on top.

After giving Regina an quick look he would turn to Techk, "Ya, its not quite working as planned, but its a great start. It allows the creation of an electrical current in an infinite loop by generating its own power to keep running. Only problem is I couldn't make it exceed the output it need to run itself. In other words I ended up with a perpetual energy machine, when i aimed for an energy source."

Regina would look it over intensively, "Looks quite impressive actually, however it's not my job to mark you is it. I'm Regina by the way." she would hold out her hand to Adam as he took it to shake.

They were interrupted when Adam's spider bot jumped on their hands stealing Regina's attention away.

"Nice to meet you. Are you new to the school? Or are you..." Adam would look to Techk and back to Regina then smirk at Techk, "Ah... never mind. I need to go train for the day anyways, I've been falling behind, and Shuriken and me have a duel soon."

Regina would be playing with the spider bot as it crawled all around her hands and arms.

Techk raised an eyebrow at Typhoon's smirk and comment. "She's a visitor and my guest, yes. I met her while I was on my way to visit a colleague in my field and we're having dinner tonight. I'm cooking so wish me luck in impressing the young lady, eh Adam?" He said giving him a nudge.

Techk looked over the machine while Regina played with Typhoon's robot. "Hmm, it's well designed and well constructed so you get points there. But it doesn't work as planned, no? I'm afraid that's going to cost you some marks. You know I grade by the project difficulty, so picking something very difficult is high risk high reward scenario. I'm glad you pushed yourself to your limit however with all things considered you'll only get a 75% this time. If you can get it working by final exams though I'll bump that mark up to 95% or higher. Sound like a good deal to you? Either a B or an A+, pretty good job in my book." Techk shrugged and gave Typhoon an apologetic look. "That's the best I can do, you know my marking rubric. As convoluted as it is, it's very fair to everyone involved as for performance and knowing their limitations."

Techk then folded his arms and gave Typhoon an unimpressed look. "Did I hear that correctly by the way? "Shuriken and me"? Come now Adam, what's the main rule I try to beat into people's heads in the theory and programming portion of class? Proper grammar in spoken language translates to proper grammar in coding language. You don't want any hiccoughs in your programming because of some forgetfulness in putting the right wording for a protocol where it counts do you? Slang and shortening of words is fine, promotes streamlining things when coding to make things more efficient. You know I'm not a total hard ass about this stuff." Techk smiled and laughed a hearty chuckle. After all, you don't want to make a programming error and wind up like me, do you? Ha ha ha!" He looked over to Regina and gave her a wink. "Not that I regret things now, I did get to meet some very interesting people after all thanks to it. Even if it did take me a while to put my mind back together, and a few months of intensive therapy to help me come to terms with things."

Techk's eyes went wide as he snapped his fingers, the figurative light bulb over his head turning on. "Wait, you said train didn't you? Does that mean you're going to be using the Play Room? I was planning on showing it off to Regina, but if you're going to be using it she can get a good show of how it works without me just wrecking shop in there like I usually do! What do you say, mind letting us watch you at work for a bit? You would have to wait for about... say 10 more minutes until the cut off time for assignments comes in. Would be a good learning experience for you as well to see what the other students are at level of prowess wise and where their confidences are. You help a lot of them so it's almost like you're my Teacher's Aide here, hehe. Thought you might be interested in seeing the results of your hard work."

Adam would look over to Techk, "Sure I'll try to get it working better, however I knew I was entering the high risk high reward scenario, and it was a gamble."

Adam would laugh at the grammer comment, "Ya, but your right. It's still a common mistake by me."

Adam would smile, "Sure I'll wait. It seems your friend isn't done with my robot yet either, plus..." he would look over to the door to see that no one was there then back to Techk, "I plan on trying out a few new skills I've been practicing. Hopefully they will all work this time...I have been practicing a lot."

The robot would beep, "I had no idea a spider robot could be so cute!" she would almost squeal the cute bit. The robot would make a confused beep and hop back over to Adam.

Adam would turn to Techk with a questionable look, "Well... she's definitely your type then."

Techk chuckled "You should have seen her when I first showed off a little of my capabilities by putting her name in lights in quite the literal sense." He put his arm around Regina's waist and pulled her against him with an appreciative look. "She's the first person not to look at me as a monster or constantly treat me like I'm something I'm not. I guess you could say I'm quite smitten already."

Techk gave Typhoon a mildly sadistic grin with a chuckle under his breath at the mention of new techniques. "I've got a few new tricks up my sleeve myself, but I've love to see what you've cooked up so I can add it to my tactical database."

Deciding to show off for Regina, Techk then had his torso take the form of whatever the rest of the students brought into the classroom and showed them where improvements could be made with his own body, and quickly graded them based on his scans. After everything was submitted to him he changed his body back into his human form and clapped his hands together loudly. "So I do believe that's everyone accounted for. Shall we head to the Play Room then?"
